05/27/2010 - Johannesburg, South Africa (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Teko Modise and Katlego Mphela converted penalties and South Africa edged Colombia 2-1 on Thursday in a World Cup warm-up at Soccer City Stadium.
Modise opened the scoring in the 18th minute and Mphela added his penalty kick in the 58th. Giovanni Moreno also scored Honduras' goal off a penalty kick.
South Africa, which hosts the World Cup, opens against Mexico on June 11, and also plays France and Uruguay in Group A.
Also Thursday, Christian Poulsen and Thomas Enevoldsen scored to lift Denmark to a 2-0 victory over Senegal and Georgie Welcome scored the tying goal in the 71st as Honduras tied Belarus 2-2.
Denmark starts the World Cup on June 14 against the Netherlands, and Honduras opens against Chile on June 16.
